Christmas Clear Out
Projects are due to finish and the workshop is shutting down for 2 weeks.
During this time we will be having a thorough clear out and tidy up. Anything that is not stored on racking AND clearly labelled to keep will be recycled, reused or disposed of.
Help us to keep your area clean by clearing out both your wanted and unwanted items before closing time Friday.

Copper and Brass Sheet
We now have a new stock of copper sheet on the roll @ a thickness of 0.25mm
On trial is copper and brass sheet @ a thickness of 0.50mm in various sizes.

Bike Shed at George Porter
A number of you were wondering where you can leave your bikes whilst at the George Porter Workshops. We have an excellent, safe bike shed here, that is overlooked all day, well lit and offers both covered and uncovered storage.
If you are on your bike, please leave it here as bikes fastened in any other location will be removed.
How to find the bike shed
Step 1...
Come through the gate and past the gate house, turn right around the back of the temporary buildings. You will see a small sign on the wall.
Step 2...
Walk all of the way to the bottom of the building to where the car parking begins
Step 3...
Turn right again and you will see a footpath leading around the back of the building
Step 4...
Turn right once more and you will see the bike shed in front of you.

Laser Cutting
Bookings are being taken for laser cutting, the extraction is (fingers crossed) fully operational.
Please don't book any more than 2 hours per week in total on the lasers, to allow access for all. If you are working on a group project, then book using different members emails to avoid cancellation
Unless you are booking 30 minutes only, please do not make bookings part way through the hour as this can create lots of unusable small sessions for others.

SAFETY INDUCTIONS
Bookings are now being taken for full safety inductions allowing machinery access at George Porter Materials Workshop.
New slots have been added to the calender, they are 0915 - 1030 on Wednesdays and Fridays most weeks, a maximum of 10 places are available.
10 places are available per hour.
