Staff will be undertaking training so will not be available on site.



Tool kits and drill kits are available from the Print Unit on the 15th Floor at the Arts Tower.

Payment Upgrades

George Porter Workshops are now CASHLESS! In line with the University aim for a cashless campus we  are no longer accepting payment by cash. This also creates a safer working environment for staff.

Payment can still be taken by CREDIT or DEBIT card, for transactions over £3. 

NEW for 2016 we are accepting payment via Ucard. There is no minimum transaction charge and your card can be quickly topped up online here.

You  can also pay in advance for your laser cutting here via the online store.

This also means that you can spend your print credits for materials and services at the workshop.

Workshop Closure beginning 12th September...

The last of this year's exhibition is due to come down week beginning 12th September 2016. After that all of the studios need to be reconfigured for the coming year.

Workshop staff will be playing a key role in making this happen, so the workshop will be closed for a maximum of 5 days beginning Monday 12th September 2016.

We do not envisage having to close for the entire week, so please check back for an update if you would like to visit the workshop next week!
